There's nothing in particular I love about my body, but I love who I am. I'm comfortable in my own skin. Beauty is so subjective and it is something we can influence. I asked my niece, do you think I'm beautiful? And she said, "Sure Aunt Carol." I want the young girls to know that you don't have to be this stick skinny girl to get attention. You don't have to wear tiny shorts to get that validation that you are OK. It really bothers me. I don't want my daughter to grow up in a world like that. I want to do this for all girls; it's to show that beauty comes from self, from confidence. In Dutch they say, "dat komt vanzelf."
Redefining Beauty: we are who we are, and here find the beauty that lies therein.
