I love my body. I'm lucky I grew up with a family that never commented on our size - it was never "You're eating too much!' or "Shouldn't you lose some weight?"
In Puerto Rico they encourage you to embrace the whole curves; "arroz con pollo" (rice and chicken) thighs, it means you are eating well and are a good cook! I like everything about my body - it doesn't look like everyone else's, there's lots of curves, it just makes my clothes look better.
I'm sad that everyone is so obsessed with the thinness and not the healthy. I rail against the thin thing - I would prefer people to be well and be happy. If this is a way for me to tell other women to be well, then I'm all in!
